Luca Ricci's Music Studio
Composer, Videogames Audio Director
"Et quacumque viam dederit fortuna sequamur"
This is a quote originally from Aeneid found in Jules Verne's "Voyage au centre de la Terre" which means "whatever its direction is, we follow the path that fate has given us".
Luca Ricci was born in Cesena in 1999, and studied at Bruno Maderna and Giovan Battista Martini conservatories. He learned composition, writing music for various ensembles, and worked on some Indie videogames.
He founded along with some fellow composers "Sesto Modo", a group of contemporary composers which objects to unmusical "modern music" and actively researches new aesthetics different from the mid and late 1900s avant-garde. He made his debut in Bologna with his orchestral work "t" (2023). Since then, he wrote music ranging from full orchestral works ("t", "Ainulindale") to chamber music ("Il dono dell'acqua", "Isole") and solistic music ("Deserto", "Viandante nel mare di nebbia"). He also won several prizes, such as "Premio Felice e Luigi Magone" in Bologna with "Fur segni forse de la tua partita" for chamber ensemble.
Many of his works are published on YouTube, and soon will be published on Streaming Platforms (Spotify, Apple Music).
As well as composing, he sometimes sketches on his notebook.
